Hal Stetson, an early member of the RRDC, ran his first race at Thompson in July 1948, finishing third in an MG TC. He raced extensively in the northeast through 1958, driving an assortment of Crosley-engined racecars including the Stetson and PBS Specials plus Crosley Hotshots and Super Sports. He switched to an E Production Arnolt for the 1957 and ’58 seasons. He had a couple of outings in an OSCA MT4 1500.
