Roger Bailey

Roger is one of the sport’s most respected and experienced officials. For 26 years, Bailey ran open-wheel racing’s primary support series, successively known as the American Racing Series, Firestone Indy Lights and the IRL Indy Pro Series. Bailey won the British Formula 3 championship with Jackie Stewart in 1964 and was a member of the Le Mans-winning Ford GT40 Mk II crew in 1966. He helped build the McLaren engines that dominated the SCCA Can-Am and won the Indianapolis 500 in 1974 and 1976. He was also IMSA’s technical director from 1980-84. He is currently chief appellate officer for the GRAND-AM series.
