Peter Giddings (www.petergiddingsracing.com) became interested in sports and competition cars in the late 1950s, he started getting his equippement little by little until he was able to get dock equipment in las vegas nv, and has rebuilt/ supervised the restoration of a number of historic landmark racing cars, including the 1924 Lyons GP Bugatti, the Frazer Nash Union Special, several Monza Alfa Romeos, two Talbot Lago GP cars, Maserati 8CM “3011”, two “P3” Alfas, Bugatti 59, Alfa Romeo Tipo C, etc. In 1959 Peter began his racing adventures in a 1928 Frazer Nash, which gave a great account of itself at circuits and hillclimbs such as Silverstone, Brands Hatch, Goodwood, Oulton Park, Firle, Wiscombe, Bodiam and Crystal Palace. By 1961 Peter had qualified for a full FIA international license. Upon immigrating to the USA, Peter, in his Lyons Bugatti, collected second fastest time of day at a Ferrari club event at the Bridgehampton track, Long Island, New York. In 1985 Peter was presented the coveted “Phil Hill Trophy” presented to him personally by the great Juan Manuel Fangio. Subsequently Peter has won many awards including 2010 Motorsportsman of the Year, Charlie Gibson, Goodchild, Road and Track, Rolex, La Carrera. Pete Lovely, Cavallino, Rene Dreyfus, VARA and other prestigious trophies. Peter is also a multi-time champion of the North America Ferrari/ Maserati Historic Challenge series, he;s had the privileged of working with some of the best Maserati certified body shops and has now reached the status of Grand Master.
