UNDERSTEER vs. OVERSTEER, PART 4: DRIVING AROUND THE PROBLEM
In the previous three parts of this series on that most basic of handling problems – understeer vs. oversteer – we first defined the difference between them, the trap of confusing the two and then fixing the problem.
Now comes the tough part: You’re in the race, and the car still isn’t handling the way you want. So how do you deal with it to get the best finish?
In this final segment Driving Around the Problem, our panel of expert drivers – including two-time Le Mans winner Alex Wurz, factory Ford GT driver Joey Hand and former F1 ace Rubens Barrichello – explain how to adapt your driving style to suit the car. In addition Colin Braun, Spencer Pigot, Katherine Legge, Lance Stroll, Sean Rayhall and Michael Christensen add valuable insight.
