YOUNG DRIVER NEWS

David Hobbs’ grandson Andrew Hobbs is competing in the South Island Formula Ford Series in New Zealand. Later this year, young Hobbs will be USF 2000 Mazda Road to Indy Series. Anyone interesting in supporting Andrew’s effort should contact his dad Greg 414-737-5705

 

Jeremy Shaw reports that Team USA Scholarship driver Neil Alberico is also traveling to New Zealand to contest the Toyota Racing Series, which kicks off Jan. 9-12 at the world’s most southerly race track, Teretonga, near Invercargill. He will be driving a patriotically liveried Team USA Scholarship car for Victory Motor Racing. The series will continue with events on consecutive weekends at Timaru (January 16-19), Highlands Motorsport Park (January 23-26), Hampton Downs (January 30-February 2) and Manfeild (February 6-9). However, all members are invited to make an additional contribution to support Team USA Scholarship and, if an honorary member, to the RRDC to help run the club.
