NOSTALGIA: McCLUGGAGE AT SEBRING, 1961

The 12 Hours of Sebring in 1961 was won by Phil Hill and Oliver Gendebien in a Ferrari 250 TRI/61. As you might expect, a number of RRDC notables did quite well that March 25^th over the 5.2 miles of mostly concrete runways, taxiways and hardstand.

Some well-placed members included Richie Ginther 2^nd O/A; Bob Holbert and Roger Penske 5^th O/A, 1^st in S1.6; Jim Hall and George Constantine, 6^th O/A, 1^st in S2.5; Don Sesslar, 7^th O/A, 2^nd in S1.6; Ludwig Heimrath, 9^th O/A, 3^rd in S1.6; and Denise McCluggage, 10^th O/A, 1^st in GT3.0.
