Christopher R. Pook
Born in England, is generally regarded as one of the most innovative motor sports executives in North America. Is responsible for the creation of the annual Grand Prix of Long Beach, now in its 42nd year. Has also created temporary circuit racing venues in Las Vegas, Dallas, Meadowlands, N.J., Denver, Del Mar, Calif., and St. Petersburg, Fla. Built permanent multi-purpose motor sports facilities in St. Louis and Memphis. In each of the venues, created Public/Private “Partnerships” delivering positive economic impacts to the host cities. Has served on the Formula 1 Commission of the FIA, the governing body of motor sports worldwide, and has represented the FIM’s World Superbike Series. Has consulted to numerous cities in their evaluation of both motor sports events and motor sports venues, and continues today to provide consulting services to the motor sports industry.
