Henry Wilkinson
Henry Wilkinson began road racing in 1980, running both SCCA National and Professional events. Over 12 years, Wilkinson competed in GT-1/ ASR (Porsche RSR), F Production (Austin Healey) and Sports Renault – the first-generation Spec Racer. In 1984, he won the first SCCA National race for Sports Renault over a distinguished field of 50 drivers at Moroso Motorsports Park. Wilkinson raced full seasons in SCCA through 1986 and partial schedules through the early 1990s – scoring numerous National wins and Run Offs invitations and Pro podium finishes during that period. In addition, he set the all-time course record at the final Buckhorn Mountain hill climb and a class record at the final Chimney Rock hill climb. In 1987, Wilkinson began racing McLaren Can-Am cars, competing in some 60 vintage events over the next 15 years, scoring several class and overall victories.
