Josef Newgarden

Currently in his second season with Sarah Fisher Hartman Racing, Newgarden brought an excellent resume to the IZOD IndyCar Series. He posted nine wins and 13 poles in Skip Barber regional and national competition, ’06 through ’08. At age 17, the Team USA Scholarship recipient became the first American to win the Formula Ford Festival Kent Class at Brands Hatch. In the following ’09 season, he was runner-up in the British Formula Ford Championship with nine wins and four poles in 25 races. He also won two of three Formula Palmer Audi races. After an indifferent ’10 GP3 season, he returned to the U.S. where he stormed to the Indy Lights title, winning five of the 14 races and a shot at IndyCar.
