Lothar Motschenbacher

Lothar was on of the top USRRC and Can-Am drivers in the sixties and seventies. A native of Germany, he came to the US in 1958 and began his racing career four years later behind the wheel of the ex-Ken Miles Dolphin Formula Junior…soon switched to a Lotus 22 – winning 34 races in 54 starts. In 1966 he moved up to the USRRC – driving a McLaren Mk II – and scored victories at St. Jovite and Mid-Ohio – ending up fourth in the Season Championship. Finished second in the Can-Am in 1970 and seventh in 1969.
