Raced from age 12 in Mexican Formula Junior, Formula 2 and Sports Prototypes from ’88 through•95, then transitioned to IRL and CART beginning in ’96. Drove for Team Scania/Simon, Herdez/Bettenhausen and Team Rahal, among others, including Indy 500. Finished third in CART Championship in ’03 for Rahal. Many starts in NASCAR Nationwide Series and Craftsman Truck Series, ’05-’08. Has run off-road, A1 Grand Prix, WRC and WTCC.
