Robert E. Boig

Bob Boig was a four-time SCCA National Champion and a four-time runner-up, winning the President’s Cup in 1990. He raced a Fiat X-19, a Triumph Spitire and a GT6 along with a Mazda Miata. Boig was proprietor of Boig Motorsports, LLC, specializing in competition parts for a variety of small-displacement race cars and was a direct supplier of Miata racing parts to Mazda Competition. An engineer by education and experience, Boig developed and marketed muffler systems (Quiet Tubes) and cooling system aids (Cool Tubes). He was a Certified Quality Engineer. Bob passed away in January 2022 at age 75.
